BWPS News ArchiveBack to News ArchiveBWPS Member Maggie Hsu Finalist in Globe Photo ContestBWPS Member Maggie Hsu's colorful photograph of a ribbon-twirling clown in downtown Boston survived hundreds of entries to become a finalist in the 2006 Boston Globe Magazine Readers Photo Contest. Photos for this contest could not be digitally altered in any way, except for routine color correction and sharpening. Maggie's shot captures a red-suited clown in action twirling a multi-colored ribbon, with the swirling ribbon framing the shot. The photograph shows action, human interest, and just plain fun! Maggie's exposure was excellent, too, with detail in the shadows as well as highlight detail in the cloudy sky. Congratulations, Maggie!
